HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

A year ago today my father passed away and my family and I spent that we week scrambling for arrangements, plane flights, and awful Chicago whether. We did it though and it was a very emotional time for everyone involved. Thing is that the New Year was celebrated, my two nephews birthday's were celebrated in January and February, and my daddy's birthday in March. Now I have to add my dad's departure to the list of dates I celebrate to start the New Year. I miss you daddy and it saddens me that I can't call you anymore or jump on a plane when you aren't feeling well yet I'm happy you're in a better place.

Hopefully both of the Phoenix teams can pull off a win today. Phoenix suns to start a successful road trip and the Arizona Cardinals can get to the Superbowl by defeating the Eagles and my brother's favorite quarterback and Chicago native Donovan McNAbb.

I also know that Ex-Bull and Suns GM Steve Kerr will have a heavy heart because on this day in 1984, his dad was assassinated. I don't think that the 1st year or 30th year without daddy being there physically to see us kids succeed is tough no matter what but whether daddy's here or there doesn't matter along as I know he's watching.

I hope your first year there was a good one and that you are all settled in!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Wow! Made it through another year and it seems as though the holiday season came an went like a flash. I everyone got what wanted and needed to make these past couple weeks leading into the new year special. With the economy the way it is, I'm happy to break into the New Year with my job, a roof over my head, food on the table, all my bills paid, and my health in tact still. I did what anyone else would do in my shoes. I took some vacation time so I can reflect on 2008 and set my goals higher for 2009. It was about 70 degrees on average throughout the holiday season and so I wasn't stuck in the house or in the bed sick like some people I know in my hometown of Chicago. Anyway, I hope this New Year will be a successful one for everyone, congratulations to the new President and good luck, and make this year count.
